Chloe Aston takes a convincing win in Vilamoura

October 29, 2019

Chloe Aston and the consistent Nanuchka Van Berkenbroeck Z claimed victory in the five-year-old at the start of week five in Vialmoura, Portugal.

Only 13 started over this 1.10m speed track but the quality was nevertheless there with Chloe skilfully guiding this promising Nonstop/Concorde mare into the top spot with more than seven sec in hand.  Howard Ephgrave beat the time by more than five sec but a rail down en route put Jayley (Don Diablo HX/Phin Phin) down to fifth.

Ava Vernon guided Geronimo PC Z into second in the 11-horse 1.25m speed, the VDL Glasgow VH Merelsnest eight-year-old finishing 3.56 sec behind the winner.  Arianna Kuligowski was also clear for fourth on the 11-year-old Coco G 2.

Steady clears in the 27-strong seven-year-old 1.35m speed handed Holly Smith 10th and 15th with History (Tangelo Van De Suuthoeve/Berlin) and Dakota (Denver V/Rex Z).

Graham Gillespie opted for accuracy in the 35-entry six-year-old 1.25m speed with Senators Rondaigo to finish 16th with an easy clear.
