Harry Bateman maintained his form here and posted a double of wins in Valkenswaard, The Netherlands.
Harry forged ahead in the seven-year-old 1.35m speed on Zuniek VD Tojopehoeve Z to win with more than four sec to spare over fellow Brit William Rekert with the Chacco Blue/Nintender mare Chanintendra PS. Emma Stoker jumped a steadier clear for eighth on Happynes in the 59-horse class.
Harry’s second win came in the 1* 1.15m as Brits filled six of the top seven places, Harry and Belladonna V claiming their second win in 24 hours by almost two sec. Caroline Breen guided Dokyra Fortuna into second with Emma Rust and KEC Kwosity in fourth. Natasha Dunsdon finished fifth and sixth with Captain Morgan EW and NN Celine and Chloe was seventh on Neon VD Bisschop. Lucy Wood was also clear for 14th on Hobalo.
Pippa Goddard headed a British top three in the six-year-old 1.30m speed, Tom Williams’ Echo Van’t Spieveld/Lux Z stallion Nero Van De Kwade Heyde winning by an impressive 4.53 sec. Emma Stoker guided Q Seven (Quaid/Stakkato) into second with William Rekert on Diakalou (Diarado/Stakkatol) – another owned by Tom Williams – in third.
Pippa also picked up fourth in the five-year-old 1.15m speed 1.31 sec off the pace on Tom Williams’ Con Man TW (Conthargos/Cartoon). Emma was also clear for sixth on the Contendro/Graf Top mare Carisma II.
William Rekert topped the 1* 1.25m speed with Hot Bluebird, the Plot Blue/Heartbreaker seven-year-old racing ahead to win with 3.59 sec to spare. John Daker was more than four sec behind for third on Sweet Candy (Heartbreaker/Lion D’Or) with Lucy on Heerdelon in fourth, Chloe aboard Gaia in fifth and Claire finished sixth on Vanda Cartier.
Scott Brash eased Hello Franklin into second in the big tour 1.45m. Sixty-one tackled this world ranking speed class with Scott and the Billy Mexico/Goodtimes eight-year-old finishing 1.21 sec behind the winner, Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer on Chaquilot. William Whitaker was right behind for third on RMF Hortensia with Chloe Winchester taking 13th aboard Corcon and Alice Palmer was also clear on Essenar Crixus for 18th.
Trevor Breen jumped to the top in the 2* small 1.35m with Lord Luidam. Twenty-two of the 52 starters came forward to the jump-off with British-based Irishman Trevor taking the win on the Guidam/Akteur 11-year-old by 1.80 sec. Claire Beecroft jumped a steadier double clear on Kandora for 17th.
William Whitaker guided RMF Bella Baloubet into fifth in the medium 1.40m in a 15-horse decider, the Baloubet Du Rouet 18-year-old finishing more than six sec off the pace. Four faults dropped Chloe and Keep Away VD Molendreef to 14th.
Emma rode the Lord Z 11-year-old Denada into 11th in the 1* 1.35m speed more than five sec behind the pace. Anna Vlasov slotted Beaumont W into 17th and William Whitaker was also clear to take 20th on RMF Corvich.
