Laura Renwick jumps into second place in Spain

Laura Renwick settled for second in the feature 1.45m in Oliva Nova, Spain, with Bintang.  Forty tackled this speed track with Laura and the Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve 13-year-old finishing exactly three sec behind the pace.  Laura was in contention with the home-bred Arkkok son Arkuga but a rail down dropped them to 16th.

Jo McGlory raced to the top in the 32-strong silver 1.25m speed with the eight-year-old Flaming Key SR Z to win by 2.36 sec.  Nina Barbour finished ninth on Cushlas Reviro, Abbe Burchmore Eames claimed 11th on Celtic Dream PSS Z and Jane Annett provided the steadiest clear for 13th on Impala.

Jane rode Billy Tudor into 12th in the gold 1.40m speed, the Cevin Z eight-year-old finishing almost eight sec off the pace.  Nina was slightly steadier for 15 th on AK’s Culcha Candela.

 

Mark Armstrong headed a British one-two in the master 1.40m in Valencia, Spain. 

Twenty-four contended this two-phase class with Mark forgning ahead to take the win by 0.64 sec on the nine-year-old Echo Van T Spieveld/Lord Z mare Juharah.  James Smith eased Simply Splendid into second spot and four faults dropped Emily Moffitt and Cirus Du Ruisseau Z down to 13th.

Mark jumped the 13-year-old Cornet Obolensky mare Areeb OL into fourth in the 18-strong master 1.45m speed 4.40 sec behind the winner.  Four faults dropped James and Just Max down to 11th place.

Guy Goosen slotted the Dallas/Cantos stallion Dacantos into third in the 10-horse jump-off of the six-year-old 1.30m 3.94 sec off the pace.  Louise Morley produced the steadiest of the double clears for seventh with the Marcolas G/Nabab De Reve mare Mari.

 

 Bumble Thomas jumped into fourth place in the 1.40m with Aramis in Sancourt, France. 

Seventy-one contended this 2* speed class with Bumble and the Indoctro 14-year-old finishing 2.69 sec behind the winner.  Steven Franks guided Abdul Aziz into eighth spot and Alex Rident was also clear on Le Roi De Coeur Des Colli to take 17th.

Bumble claimed sixth in the 57-strong 1* 1.20m two-phase with the 13-year-old Quantum Treat more than three sec off the pace.  Paul Bevan was also double clear for 13th on the Balou Du Rouet 10-year-old Winterfield.

Steven eased the Billy Cogo 13-year-old Billy Ginger into 13th in the 80-entry 1* 1.30m speed 10 sec off the pace.

Bumble finished 14th in the 67-horse 1.35m speed with Ciandro seven sec behind the pace.  Steven was also clear on Carlow Cruiser and Brutus III to take 19th and 21st.
