Tabitha Kyle makes a seamless switch to horses to continue on her winning streak

Tabitha Kyle (seen here with Lissduff Royal) has soon got to grips with Holly Smith’s Grennanstown Sarco Lux Hill and steered the big Irish-bred nine-year-old to victory in Lier, Belgium at the Azelhof youth festival.

Twenty-two riders tackled this children-on-horses 1.20m speed class but none were a match for Tabitha, 12, as she made short work of the track to win by an impressive two sec.

Tabitha almost made it a double storming around the 14-strong jump-off of the pony 1.10m to finish two sec ahead of the winner but a rail down dropped the 138cm Lissduff Royal down to fifth.  One time fault in round one put Elsi Jacques and Dapple Grey Dew Drop into 17th.

Elsi jumped easy double clears in the 38-strong under 25 1.20m two-phase, easing Da Vinci into sixth in the under 25 1.20m two-phase, the Carthino Z/Indoctro 11-year-old finishing 2.76 sec behind the pace, and taking eighth on Surnunn Diamond Lad.

A steady clear in the pony 1.20m speed put Holly Cooper and the 10-year-old Valentino Supreme into 13th spot more than seven sec off the pace.
