Florence Polland was a fraction from victory in the amateur 1.20m two-phase against 68 starters with seasoned campaigner Southbound, the just 0.09 sec off the pace for second.

Paul Bevan claimed eighth with an easy clear on day one in the 87-horse 2* 1.40m speed with Deangelo II 4.60 sec behind the winner.  Alex Rident finished 11th on Come Back with Steven Franks 12th aboard Abdul Aziz.
