Helen Tredwell takes second in a strong 1.40m in Belgium

Helen Tredwell was less than a sec off the pace in the 2* 1.40m section B with Ann and Colin Garratt’s Sebastian VII in Lier,  Belgium. 

Eighty-five contended this two-phase class with Helen and the Unbelievable Darco/Animo 13-year-old crossing the finish line 0.62 sec behind the winner.

Joe Clayton on Franka Trichta and Sam Ward with Romany posted steady double clears in the 82-strong 1.40m section A for 18th and 20th. 

Adrian Whiteway jumped to the top in the 74-entry 1.30m two-phase section A on Lux De Lux, the Lux Z/Clover Hill 12-year-old winning by 1.23 sec.  Beth Vernon eased Kwantos Van Meierhof into sixth with Sarah Lewis in ninth on Kvint just ahead of Olivia Howe’s Evita in 10th.

Joe jumped the nine-year-old Crak De Beaurepaire Z into fourth in the 1.30m section B 2.46 sec behind the pace.  Gillian Anderson was a fraction behind for fifth on JJ’s Prince Chaccomo, Sam Ward was 13th on Boxted Boy and Beth also returned a double clear for 20 th aboard Conthoraire.

Olivia Gent claimed second in the six-year-old 1.20m two-phase with Kingdon (Don VHP Z/Hamilton III) 1.34 sec off the pace.  Alex Gill was seventh on Ivovo just ahead of Helen’s Iowenna and Charlotte Ash with Irma-Riende in eighth and ninth.  Alex Hempleman jumped double clears for 14th and 20th on Ica D’Emma Z and Jammy Dodger, Adrian was 16th on Chacco Volo and Helen was also 19th on Luikan.  

Tamarin Christie slotted Heiki (Zambesi/Calvados) into third in the seven-year-old 1.30m two-phase 0.66 sec off the pace.  Charlotte Ash guided Calini into sixth with Adrian close behind for seventh on Cooley Network in the 66-strong class.

 

 

 

 

 

In Gorla Minore, Italy, Graham Gillespie rode Calvaro’s Up To Date into third in the mammoth 109-strong 1.40m speed 0.57 sec behind the winner.  Keith Shore eased Iron Lady Van’t Meulenhof into ninth and Katie Gygax was also clear for 17th on Ultimatum Deal.

 

 

 

 

 

In Arezzo, Italy, Lance Whitehouse guided Cassia DS into eighth in the 80-strong silver 1.35m two-phase, the 10-year-old Cassiano mare finishing 2.32 sec off the pace. 

Joe Clee jumped an easy clear on Cassy De La Valiere (Diamant De Semilly/Éclair Du Bois) for seventh in the 37-horse seven-year-old 1.30/1.35m 4.12 sec behind the winner.
