February 23, 2019

Annabel Shields sped to victory in the 2* 1.35m speed in Gent, Belgium, with Creevagh Carisma.

A known danger against the clock, Annabel defied the odds to race into the top spot against a mammoth 109-entry on the Camiro De Haar Z nine-year-old mare to win by 1.31 sec.  Nicola Barry eased Sovereign Equestrian’s Chacco Blue/Manhattan 11-year-old True Blue III into 10th spot.

Nicola also picked up 15th in the 70-horse 1.40m two-phase with a double clear on the Verdi/Larino 11-year-old Darien II.

Chris Smith rode Triomphe De Muze 17-year-old Coriander Van’t Vennehof into seventh spot in the 87-strong 2* 1.35m two-phase with a double clear 1.87 sec off the pace.  Four faults in phase two dropped Nicola Barry and True Blue III down to 19th.

Abigail Hall slotted Maclaren into 10th in Saturday’s 1* 1.15m two-phase 6.45 sec behind the pace.
