Brits dominated the 1.40m classes in Lier, Belgium, with James Smith and Chloe Winchester proving victorious.
British riders claimed the top two in the 1.40m section B two-phase, James galloping ahead to fill the top spot on Twix De La Roque, the Kannan/Cumano 12-year-old winning by just 0.06 sec.
Louise Whitaker was hot on their heels for second with Brendon Stud’s home-bred Warrior/Caretino Glory nine-year-old Special Warrior. Helen Tredwell slotted Sebastian VII into eighth and and Nicola Barry was also double clear on Sovereign Equestrian’s Darien II for 11th spot.
Chloe claimed victory in the 2* 1.40m section A with Gentleman. Seventy-four contended this two-phase class with Chloe and the Couleur Rubin/Clinton I 12-year-old winning by 1.08 sec. Sam Ward eased the Quidam De Revel 12-year-old Thomas into seventh and Joe Clayton was also double clear for 17th on Cally V.
Chris Smith eased I into third in the five and six-year-old speed, the Dexter R/Ircolando gelding 1.52 sec off the pace. A steadier clear from Sarah Lewis on Askeaton finished 19th.
Tess Carmichael returned the steadiest of the double clears in the 1.20m two-phase for 18th on Bangle SR.
