Lucy Struthers is in the money in Belgium

Lucy Struthers clinched second spot in the 2* 1.30m speed with Ascon Z. Fifty-six tackled this speed class with Lucy and the Asca Z 11-year-old finishing 2.59 sec behind the winning time for the runner-up place.

Winners 24 hours earlier, Carron Nicol and the Diamonate De Semilly eight-year-old Galerius had to settle for fifth in day two’s 70-strong 1.35m two-phase 0.91 sec behind the pace.

Carron also picked up two top seven places in the five and six-year-old with two six-year-olds. Thirty-eight contended this speed class with Carron guiding Damian (Vleut/Indoctro) into third 3.71 sec off the ace and took seventh on Vistogrand (Fantaland/Mr Visto).

Twenty-three of the 94 starters reached the jump-off of the world ranking 1.45m but Brits were dogged by rails down in round two. Four faults dropped Chloe Winchester from fourth to 13th on Finnegan D, Carron also lowered one pole to finish 15th with Nistria V/D Winning Z and Robert Smith took 20th aboard Cimano E.
