Annabel Shields lands another win in Wierden

Annabel Shields continued on her sizzling form to take victory in the 1.35m in Wierden, The Netherlands, on Creevagh Carisma.

Winners 24 hours earlier, Annabel and the eight-year-old Camiro Van De Haar Z daughter eased ahead to top nine-horse decider of the the 29-strong 1* 1.35m with 0.49 sec to spare.

A steady clear from Annabel and the six-year-old Cartender earned 11th spot in the 1* 1.30m speed more than four sec off the pace.



In Opglabbeek, Belgium, Ellen Whitaker jumped into second in the 3* 1.40m with Casaktie.  With an entry of 113, it was no mean feat and the pair secured the runner-up spot 2.68 sec behind speedy French winner Gregory Cottard on Une Futee De WY.  Harry Charles guided the 10-year-old Doulita (Wittinger VDL/French Buffet) into fourth with Jess Mendoza in 10th place on Dubai and Joe Clayton 21st aboard Franka Trichta.

Four faults in the 13-horse decider – yielded from 76 starters – dropped British-based Irishman Richard Howley and the nine-year-old Electra B down to ninth.

Jess jumped a double clear on the El-Thuder 10-year-old NP Zelah for 16th in the 112-strong 1.30m two-phase.
