Graham Babes raced ahead on the consistent Glencoe to record victory in Kronenberg, The Netherlands. Forty-six contended the seven-year-old 1.35m two-phase with Graham and Glencoe (Chellthago Z/Numero Uno) taking the win by 1.22 sec.
Nici Wilson registered a win in the 50-strong 1* 1.30m grand prix qualifier with the Verdi/Heartbreaker 11-year-old Naomi 55, forging ahead to top this speed class with 3.37 sec in hand. Louise Saywell was also clear for 12th on the Chacco Blue 10-year-old Charina.
Graham slotted Eccosse into fourth in the 57-strong 2* 1.40m final. Ten reached the jump-off with Graham and the Eurocommerce Berlin 10-year-old finishing 1.41 sec behind the winner, Germany’s Tobias Meyer on CD 2. Four faults in round one denied Louise on Tiger De Old Lodge and Millie Allen with Quinu Du Pravia and they finished 15th and 16th.
Millie eased Chantal into fourth in the 2* 1.35m speed, the Iowa/Indoctro eight-year-old finishing 1.98 sec off the pace. Bumble Thomas returned a slightly steadier round on the Carthino Z 11-year-old Ciandro for seventh.
Four faults in the second phase of the 35-entry 1.40m dropped Louise and the Quintus eight-year-old Sultanah down to 16th.
Flossy Bellm jumped double clear in the 1.10m to take second on Southbound, the Calvaro FCS/Cruising 16-year-old 0.29 sec off the pace. Alicia Store was also penalty-free in the nine-horse decider for seventh on Uranie.
Winners yesterday, Bumble and the Canto 12-year-old Quantum Treat had to settle for fifth place in the 45-strong 1* 1.20m 2.44 sec behind the pace in the 20-strong jump-off.
