Lance Whitehouse posted victory in Samorin, Slovakia, with Cartino III.

Richard Howley jumped into third in the 4* 1.50m on Dolores.

Sixteen of the 57 starters accessed the jump-off with round one clears, Richard and the 10-year-old Berlin/Voltaire mare posting another clean round to finish just 0.35 sec behind the winner, Mexico’s Enrique Gonzalez on Chacna in a fast and furious jump-off.  Sam Hutton produced the fastest time of the lot on the 11-year-old Quidam De Revel stallion Happydam but four faults dropped them to sixth.

Lance eased Whitesparke Blanko into fifth in the 38-strong 4* 1.40/1.45m speed, the Arko/Ard Ohio eight-year-old finishing more than five sec off the pace.

Chloe Winchester claimed second in the 31-horse 1* 1.30m two-phase with Daranta, the Heartbreaker/Indoctro 10-year-old three sec off the pace.  Carmen Edwards was also double clear for fourth on the Bodinus seven-year-old Geodina HS.

Giorgia Distefano jumped the It’s the Business/Tinka’s Boy seven-year-old Kimba into third in the 2* 1.25m two-phase 1.57 sec to finish behind the pace.  Sam Hutton guided L’Avonture VD Oude Molenhoeve into fifth place in the 29-horse class.

Will Edwards jumped clear in the 2* 1.45m speed to take sixth on the eight-year-old chacco Blue/Heartbreaker mare SHW Candies B 3.15 sec behind the winner, Germany’s Marc Bettinger on My Way.  Four faults dropped Chloe and Sheyenne 27 down to 16th.
