Anna Power was in the mix in the concluding world ranking 2* grand prix in Wierden, The Netherlands, with Blazer B.
Seventeen of the 48 starters returned for the jump-offwith Anna guiding the Tombola/Lord Z 12-year-old into another clear for fifth place three sec off the pace. The Netherlands’ Bart Bles jumped to victory on the 10-year-old stallion Comino (Cassini II/Corrado I). A rail down cost Jamie Wingrove a jump-off place and the four faults put Bart VI into 22nd.
Nick Benterman claimed second in the 1* 1.30m grand prix on Cartoubet.
Fifty-nine contended the first round but a tough track realised only four clears for the jump-off. However, a clear round couldn’t be found in round two. Nick provided the fastest time over the shortened track against the clock, but a rail fell and dropped the Cartoon/Baloubet Du Rouet eight-year-old into the runner-up spot.
The Netherlands’ Wout-Jan Van de Schans aimed for accuracy to take victory on the Indoctro nine-year-old Enzo DH, and his steady pace picked up two time faults, but it was still sufficient to win.
