Declan Irvine takes a win in Opglabbeek

Declan Irvine (seen here with Mystic Independence) held off all 60 challengers to take victory in the 1* 1.25m on Keeford Carousel in Opglabbeek, Belgium. 

Thirteen contended the jump-off with Declan and the Harlequin Du Carel/Clover Hill 10-year-old claiming a 1.14 sec advantage to win.  Chloe Aston slotted the Nabab De Reve/Burggraaf eight-year-old Krakow Van Het Genelaar into second place and Liberty Bramwell returned clear and four for 11th on Falavsca Fortuna.

Paul Kennedy claimed fifth in the 61-horses 2* 1.35m two-phase with Isaura Van De Marquette, the 10-year-old Thunder Van De Zuuthoeve mare finishing 2.42 sec behind the pace.  A steady double clear from James Smith and Flinstering took 18th.

Olivia Howe jumped an easy clear in the 1.10m speed to take 11th on the 15-year-old Corsiro Z.  Jess Mendoza was also clear for 14th on Ambrosia KDW Z.

Sally Hopkinson was 16 sec off the pace for 11th in the 59-strong 2* 1.30m speed on the Vigaro eight-year-old Fadograaf.  Alex Thompson rode into 13th on Classy Cat JT Z, Chris Frazer was 14th on Kamee and Sally also picked up 15th with Crystal Clear.
