Scott Brash posted victory in the seven-year-old with the talented Hello Franklin in Kronenberg, The Netherlands.
Thirty-nine contended this 1.30m two-phase with Scott smoothly claiming victory on the Billy Mexico/Goodtimes gelding – bred by Mandy McGlynn and produced by her daughter Emma – by 1.02 sec.
Ashlee Harrison jumped to the top in the 1* 1.30m with Beaufort III, the Casantos/Farmer 12-year-old taking a 0.15 sec advantage in the 66-strong speed for victory. Jess Mendoza was 0.99 sec behind the pace for fourth place on the 12-year-old Supreme Du Bois Aile.
Anthony Condon claimed third in the 2* 1.40m with Courtney Z. Sixteen of the 56 starters reached round two with British-based Irishman Anthony and the Chellano 17-year-old breaking the beam 2.09 sec behind the winner, The Netherlands’ Kristian Houwen on Drop Shot VM. Alexandra Thornton was also double clear for eighth on Caballero 84.
Paul Bevan was less than a second off victory in the 1.20m on Coco Vittorio, the Vittorio/Voltaire 11-year-old 0.70 sec behind the pace for second spot in the eight-horse decider. One time fault in round one dropped Sean Curran to 11th on Emirati Van De Vallei.
Sam Hutton slotted the eight-year-old Kandy Van De Zeedycke (Cabrio Van De Heffinck/Nonstop) into second in the 1.40m consolation two-phase 0.64 sec off the pace.
In Lanaken, Belgium, Joe Clee eased Caretoo (Catoo/Caretino) into third in the six-year-old 1.25m two-phase, finishing 1.42 sec off the pace in the 72-strong class.
Joe also finished 10 th on the Tyson seven-year-old Thunder G Z in the 3* 1.35m speed eight sec off the pace.
Anna Platt claimed second in the 1* 1.15m on F Zermie MLC, the ight-year-old Mylord Carthago mare 1.24 sec behind the pace. Sophie Pulleyn was also double clear for 10th on Duval F.
Maggie Dunkley rode the 10-year-old Ivonneke Chaud into third in the 1* 1.25m speed 3.51 sec off the pace. Ellie Meager guided Dino into sixth with Lindsay Scatterty in 10th on Devonte and 13th with Gelesta in the 80-strong class.
