Nicole Pavitt and the ever-eager Victor Blue have quickly bounced back to form and claimed second in the 3* 1.40/1.45m in Bonheiden, Belgium.
Fifty-two contended this speed class with Nicole and Ginny Quine’s 16-year-old Victor (My Bjorn/Rebel II Z) flying into the runner-up spot 0.60 sec behind the winner, Brazil’s Marlon Modolo Zanotelli on Rock’N Roll Semilly. Rose Moss posted a steadier clear on Carlos F for 11th place.
Rose jumped into third in the seven-year-old two-phase with the Billy Congo gelding African Affair, 1.69 sec behind the pace. Tamarin Christie was close behind for fourth aboard Lexus Van Het Speienhof and Katinka Brogaard was also double clear to take 12th on Galveston G. Robert Whitaker picked up one time fault for 17th on Val De Vauxelles Z.
Tamarin also claimed sixth in the 3* 1.40m two-phase with the Winningmood nine-year-old Jacinthe Van Dorpeheide 5.57 sec off the pace. Robert incurred one time fault in the second phase to take 14th on Brendon Stud’s Noble Warrior.
Ashlea Silk-Jones eased Clint Star into second in the five-year-old 1.10m two-phase, the Carrico/Clinton II mare finishing 0.53 sec behind the pace. Katinka was also double clear for eighth on Begonda Z (Big Star Jr K Z/Massimo). Grace Hooper collected three time faults for 11th on Ivy League and clear and a fast four put Rose and Kingston in 12th.
Katinka picked up fifth in the 1.15/1.20m two-phase more than six sec behind the pace on the Calvados Z nine-year-old Entertainer. Grace Hooper posted the steadiest of the double clears for eighth on D’Amore Date and Katinka was also 11th on one time fault with Hotline.
William Whitaker gave Utamaro D Ecaussines a run out in the 3* 1.35m two-phase to return on one time fault for 15th spot in the 45-strong class.
