Anna is powering up in Arezzo

Anna Power jumped into fifth in the world ranking silver 1.45m with Blazer B on the Toscana tour in Italy.

Fifteen of the 76 starters accessed the jump-off, although eight unlucky riders came home on just time faults to be denied a round two chance.  Anna waa again clear, the Tombola/Lord Z 12-year-old finishing 3.40 sec behind the winner, France’s Paul Delforge on Terre Du Banney.

Four faults in the top-billed gold 1.50m grand prix on Crack Van Overis Z dropped Anna out of contention and into 21st.  Italy’s Bruno Chimirri claimed victory in the 10-strong decider on Tower Mouche with 0.14 sec over Switzerland’s Martin Fuchs on Chica B Z.

A steady clear more than six sec behind the pace handed Anna 11th place on the nine-year-old Edison V (Applaus/Thunderbolt) in the 42-strong gold 1.25m speed.

Carmen Edwards was less than half a sec away from victory in the bronze 1.25m final, the nine-year-old mare Calcourt Normandie finishing 0.44 sec off the pace in the 10-horse decider for second place.  Carmen also jumped a steady clear in the 75-horse bronze 1.30m speed on Geodina HS more than 11 sec off the pace.

Peter Moloney slotted Ghana into 11th in the silver 1.40m speed, the 12-year-old Vigo D’Arsouilles/Cash mare 6.27 sec behind the pace.
