Louise Saywell sails to a win in Herning
Louise Saywell skillfully guided Sultanah into the top spot of a mammoth 114-strong 1* 1.35m youngster cup on day one in Herning, Denmark.
The competition was hot, but Louise found all the shortcuts on the Quintus/Voltaire eight-year-old mare to claim the win by just 0.04 sec.
Louise also featured in the evening’s 1.40m two-phase, taking fifth on Graham Ward’s Chicago Z 13-year-old Feigtling just behind her partner Graham Lovegrove, in fourth aboard the Lord Z/Voltaire 13-year-old Ascension Lord, 0.11 sec splitting the two. The Netherlands’ Robert Vos raced away with the win on Darius, more than two sec faster than Graham in the 98-horse class.
