Tim Wilks jumped to the top in the Ashford Farm 2* 1.40m section A at Opglabbeek, Belgium, with Quelbora Merze. Eighty-five tacked this speed class but Tim had all the answers on the Tarzan De Beaulieu 13-year-old to win by 1.33 sec.
William Whitaker also returned home clear with the 14-year-old Fandango for sixth place, four sec in arrears.
William also featured in the B section of this class – split because of the heavy entries – to take seventh in this 84-strong competition wih the Beach Ball nine-year-old Lammy Beach, the former ride of Holly Smith. Joe Clee posted a steadier clear on Alzu Ohio for 17th.
Leonie Aitkenhead jumped into seventh in the 2* 1.35m two-phase with the Berlin/Lux nine-year-old D.Millfield Darin, finishing two and a half sec behind the pace. William was also double clear on Fenot Chin S for 12th.
Charles Luyckx claimed seventh on Balios Ar Park in the five and six-year-old speed, the selle Francais six-year-old finishing four sec behind the winner. Chloe Aston guided Flavie Van De Helle into ninth and Leonie was also clear on Heart-Third for 14th.
