November 18, 2017

Already with a winning double to their credit at Sentower Park’s youth festival in Opglabbeek, Belgium, Allana Clutterbuck and Tekila Du Bary had to settle for second on the third day in the pony 1.25m two-phase.

The pair finished 0.76 behind Ireland’s Katie Power on Knockroe Little Mike.  Tahnia Jordan-Jones claimed third spot on the 11-year-old Jumper.  Claudia Moore jumped for clear and four on both Shamrock Du Gite and Elando Van De Roshoeve to take 12th and 14th, sandwiching Antonia Platt into 13th on Sligo Furistos Flight.

Georgina Wareham claimed seventh in the pony 1.15m speed with the nine-year-old Sharelle more than four sec behind the pace.  Lila Bremner guided the seven-year-old Lapislazuli into ninth and Ella Quigley returned the steadiest clear in the 46-strong class for 13th on Clemens 43.

Jodie Hall-McAteer jumped into seventh in the 50-strong junior 1.25m on TJ Quincy, the Quintender/Andiamo nine-year-old finishing 2.52 sec behind the pace.  Perdi Digby guided the Cougar 16-year-old Highland Cruiser II into 11th with Allana in 16th on Amour De La Feuillie and Jessica Blatchford provided the steadiest clear on Chennai for 19th spot.

Four faults denied Jodie a jump-off chance in the Ashford Farm under 25 1.45m grand prix and Coquin De Coquerie Z finished in 12th place.  The USA’s Michael Hughes claimed victory in the six-horse decider with Carbon 5.

Olli Fletcher finished fourth in a 51-strong junior 1.40m two-phase with the 14-year-old KBIS Caicos, nine sec adrift of the winning time.  Four faults in the second phase dropped Jodie and Colette down from a possible third to 11th.

Olli also picked up fourth in the children-on-horses 1.25m two-phase with a double clear on the 11-year-old mare Little Business, more than five sec behind the pace.

Only five posted first phase clears in the under 25 1.45m two-phase, Carian Scudamore proving best Brit here with four faults in the first phase for eighth on Irina Van’t Huka.

Paul Kennedy picked up three time faults in the under 25 1.35m speed on the seven-year-old H Day Van De Bareelhof Z for 12th.

Jocasta Symons steered Concordette RR into fifth in the children-on-horses 1.15m speed with an easy clear and also finished eighth on four faults with Duffy II.
