An on-form Jodie Hall-Mcateer posted a victory double on day two at Sentower Park’s youth festival in Opglabbeek, Belgium.
Seventy-five tackled the junior 1.35m speed but Jodie just had the edge on the 10-year-old Vincenzo daughter Colette to take the win by 0.35 sec. Olli Fletcher was five sec behind the pace for fifth on the nine-year-old Disckoboy DN with Ben Clark in eighth on Jancovica and 11th aboard Valentino. Tabitha Dean jumped into ninth on Blown Away and Allana Clutterbuck was also clear for 14th on Vitaal G.
Jodie also topped the junior 1.25m two-phase on TJ Quincy, the Quintender/Andiamo nine-year-old taking the win by 0.21 sec. Allana Clutterbuck eased Amour De La Feuillie into 10th with Ellie Hall-McAteer in 13th on Polly Pocket. Jessica Blatchford was also double clear on Chennai for 15th and Tabitha Dean returned with a total of two time faults on Ibrador Van De Rhamdia Hoeve for 18th.
British pony riders dominated the 1.25m with Allana again proving unbeatable on Tekila Du Bary.
Forty-one contended this speed class but Allana had victory sewn up on the super-consistent and speedy 10-year-old mare Tekila to win with 1.02 sec to spare.
Brits filled five of the top six places with only Ireland’s Robyn Moran preventing a British whitewash with second on River Casanova. Faye Sutton guided the Irish 13-year-old Robe Ruadh into third with Tahnia Jordan-Jones and her newly-crowned HOYS newcomer ad Foxhunter champion Jumper in fourth. Antonia Platt claimed fifth on Sligo Furistos Flight and Perdi Digby eased Kayleighs Star into sixth. Allana also picked up 10th on Atomic Du Bary and Claudia Moore returned the steadiest of the clears for 14th on Elando Van De Roshoeve.
Ella Quigley raced ahead on the 16-year-old Seamus to win the pony 1.15m two-phase. Forty-five contended but Ella had the upper hand two in with more than half a sec in hand. Daisy McKinlay slotted Spot the Go Jo into second and Molly Bennett claimed fifth on Cragghouse Floyd. Lila Bremner guided Foxy Lady 55 into 13th with Georgina Wareham in 15th on Sharelle and Molly Davies posted the steadiest of the double clears to take 16th on Wildwood Silver.
Lulu Warren featured in the under 25 1.40m speed on Deltina, the Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve/Grannex nine-year-old slotting into third place 1.59 sec behind the pace. Jodie was also clear on the eight-year-old stallion Coquin De Coquerie Z to jump into eighth.
Lulu also posted a double clear in the under 25 1.35m two-phase to finish some nine sec behind the pace for eighth. Carian Scudamore took 18th on Jakarta VD Hunters.
Olli Fletcher claimed fourth in the children-on-horses 1.25m speed with Little Business, the 11-year-old mare finishing three sec behind the pace. And Jocasta Symons jumped into fifth with a double clear in the children-on-horses 1.15m two-phase with Duffy II.
