Nicole Lockhead Anderson scores a hat-trick at South View

Nicole Lockhead Anderson hit winning form with a hat-trick of wins on Gangnam Style and Killack King.  The eight-year-old Gangnam Style – Scope Festival Dunglenn champion – topped the 1.20m, flying ahead to relegate Tabitha Kyle and the Irish-bred 138cm Lissduff Royal.  Antonia Platt guided Carnhill Luna into third ahead of Izzi Ryder, in fourth on Woodfield Five Star. 

Nicole also claimed victory in the sparkle 1.15m and 1.20m speed with Killack King, an Irish-bred 12-year-old she has ridden since August. 

The on-form pair beat Hannah Barker to the top spot in the 1.20m speed, Hannah and Carlow Girl settling for second. Madison Heath slotted Air Flow into third ahead of fourth-placed Elsi Jaques on Westward Sunshine. 

In the 1.15m, Nicole picked up the win with Killack King and claimed third aboard Miami Carwyn, sandwiching Sandy McLean and Midnight Minuet into second. Charley Hamilton and Castlebaldwin Golden Arrow took fourth place. 

Sandy and Midnight Minuet went one better in the Foxhunter/1.10m, taking the win with Paige Wright’s Lucky Bay in second. Elloise Smit claimed third place on My Lady III with Eloise Burden in fourth aboard Beech Hill Arthur. 

Paige went on to take first and third in the winter 128cm, winning aboard the nine-year-old Black Shade of Gold and guiding Jiminy Cricket IV (pictured) into third with Noora von Bulow sandwiched into second on Sparkel III. Charlie Atkinson clinched fourth spot on Daffodil ahead of Eloise Squibb in fifth aboard Wyndham Tom Thumb.  

The Squibb family dominated the 128/138cm handicap, Tia Squibb winning on Gorm and Ban at the expense of her sister Eloise, in second on Drumaclan Flight. Henry Squibb claimed fifth on Toya Whispering Sand behind third-placed Ella Derbyshire on Airbourne Freddie with Poppy Deakin fourth with Laithehill Paisley.

 

 

Madison Heath outpaced all in the 148cm with her HOYS champion Sonas Barney with Leah Stack in second on Amber Leaf. Alice Power jumped into third on Bear Me In Mind and Holly Cooper picked up fourth on Mr Jack Sparrow. 

 

Shaunie Greig and her HOYS pony showjumper of the year champion Casino Royale VIII maintained their winning form to take the 1.25m. Izzi Ryder was hot on her heels for second with the Irish-bred Mullingar Bay and Antonia Platt eased another Irish-bred, Sligo Furisto Flight, into third. Hannah Barker slipped Ammanvalley Santino into fourth with Claudia Moore in fifth and sixth on Shamrock du Gite and Elando Van De Roshoeve. 

Shaunie doubled up in the South View novice championship, winning the title on Whos Bentho. Rachel Proudley and Family Affair equalled the time of Eloise Burden’s Coolatooder Liath to share second place and Courtney Young netted fourth spot on Kissemmie Chatterbox. 

 

Tahnia Jordan-Jones claimed victory in the power and speed with the 13-year-old Sulan Hollywood Knight. Madison McCrory eased Delfino into second ahead of Nicole Lockhead Anderson and Beech Comber with Faye Sutton and Wild At Heart T in fourth. 

 

Jessica Howard doubled up, winning a newcomer/1m and 1.15m. Jess partnered Hannah le Grand’s Ryehill Joseph to top the newcomer/1m, beating Taylor Sweeney into second on Barnaboy Bouncer. Sandy McLean jumped Kippure Lancelot into third with Taylor Jenkins in fourth on Witham View.

 

Jess and Claire Darwin’s 10-year-old Rocky Robin were at their best in the 1.15m, galloping ahead to take the win from Billy Luther, in second on Creme De La Creme. Anoushka Mauree finished in third on Miami Moonbeam with Ella Quigley fourth aboard Mister Seamus. 

 

Billy topped the initial rising stars 1.15m with his 14-year-old HOYS Foxhunter and newcomer finalist Creme De La Creme, the pair racing ahead to push Sinead Cox and the eight-year-old Lislan Cruising Lady into second. Tabitha Kyle netted third and fourth places on Carnaween Laura and Lissduff Royal.

 

Daisy McKinlay was another 1.15m winner, riding Cranford Jack into the top spot with Faye Sutton and Beyond Doubt II in second place. Kate Baxter took third on Tequila Twist with Perdi Digby and Brosna Blossom in fourth.

 

 

Harriet Whitton was another to post a double of wins, heading two 90cm classes with the 12-year-old mare My-I.

Ava Shortall claimed a 128/138cm handicap win with Dizzy Rascal, pushing Ryan Sweetnam into second on Never Last Spartacus with Lauren Murphy’s Troglan in third.

Chloe Templeton topped a newcomers on Rockmount Casper, relegating Nicole Lockhead Anderson to second aboard touch of Marmite II. Rachel Proudley and Family Affair finished third.
