Emma Stoker claimed second in both six and seven-year-old classes at the start of week two in Vilamoura, Portugal. Emma guided Pembroke 3 into the runner-up spot of the seven-year-old 1.35m speed, the Perigueux/Quick Star gelding owned by Bob Young finishing just 0.25 sec behind the winner, Italy’s Luca Moneta on Jonas KM. Four faults dropped Chloe Aston on Fiene and Emma’s second ride Everton De Villee down to 10th and 11th.
Emma also claimed second in the six-year-old 1.25m speed with the Cadensky/Dollar Dela Pierre mare Cool Cash, finishing 2.30 sec away from the winning time. George Whitaker eased Lolly Pop Van’t Akkerhof into fourth and was also clear on Forgiven Z for 12th just behind Jaime Marsh and Late Night S in 11th. Leo Lorimer on Lui-Jo Vls and Megan Williams with Kingdom Come returned one time fault apiece for 14th and 16th.
Abbe Elliott (nee Burchmore Eames) claimed the top spot in the five-year-old 1.10m two-phase with Hemberlins Vera, the coloured Farco Van Vrjesput/Voltaire mare winning by 0.71 sec. Chloe Aston guided the stallion Magic Chanti into third more than two sec in arrears with Brits fillng the next three places Emma Son Grand Stakkato (Graf Top/Stakkato) in fourth, Abbe and second ride Celtic Dream PSS Z (Clinton/Chin Chin) fifth and Angela Eardley’s It’s A Jubilee Surprise took sixth. Tom Lloyd on Shakira and Emma’s second ride Gotha De Baudignies also returned double clears for 10th and 12th.
