Stacey Willsone landed a win in Gorla Minore, Italy, with the consistent Steady The Helm.

Forty-one contended the 1.15m speed, Stacey and the Tikkanen 12-year-old – bought from Tim Page four months ago – racing ahead to claim victory by 0.81 sec.

Stacey popped Newton Nickel into sixth in the 1.25m speed with an easy clear, the Wolfgang 13-year-old crossing the line almost six sec behind the pace.

Dan Neilson claimed fifth in the 1.40m speed with Strides Hatton’s Treasure, the Billy Mexico eight-year-old 2.56 sec behind the winner, Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer on Uderzo De Rance.

Katie Gygax posted a steadier round for ninth on the Ideal De La Loge nine-year-old Ultimatum Ideal in the 83-strong class.

A steady double clear in the 1.35m two-phase earned Dan and the Casall eight-year-old Cirrus 18th place.
