Chloe Winchester records another win in Bonheiden

Chloe Winchester is on fire, claiming another win in Bonheiden, Belgium, on Sportfield Our Clare with victory in the 3* 1.35m speed. Twenty-four contended here with Chloe and the Irish-bred 10-year-old racing ahead to win by more than six and half sec.

Also clear was James Davenport on One Endeavour and Scott Brash’s Hello Mr President for sixth and ninth. William Whitaker opted for steady on Ilusionata Van’t Meulenhof to finish on three faults and take 14th. 

Nicole Pavitt was best Brit in the 3* world ranking 1.45m with sixth on Areeb OL. Ninety-five contended with 43 posting initial clears in a sizzling hot class, with Nicole guiding the Cornet Obolensky 11-year-old into sixth spot to finish 0.94 sec behind the winner, Brazil’s Pedro Veniss on Anaya Ste Hermelle.

Also penalty-free was Ben Talbot, in eighth on Sacramento, and Matt Sampson’s Ebolensky in 11th. Emily Mason also returned a double clear for 30th on Explosion W.  

Four faults in the 1.45m small grand prix kept Matt Sampson (Renkum Centre Star) and James Davenport (Cochella) out of the running. The Netherlands’ Daaan van Geel took victory on Djam.
