Dan Neilson slotted Cirrus into third in the 3* 1.45m final. Ten of the initial 48 reached the jump-off with Dan easing the Casall eight-year-old Cirrus to finish 2.26 sec behind the winner, Switzerland’s Werner Muff on Cornet MM. Clear and four dropped William Funnell and the Cevin Z nine-year-old Billy McCain down to eighth.
Four faults in round one dropped Dan and Major Delacour out of the running of the 47-strong 3* 1.55m grand prix. Switzwerland’s Romain Duget took the win on Sherazade Du Geveaudan with 1.12 sec to spare over Italy’s Bruno Chimirri on Tower Mouche.
Stacey Willsone netted two of the top three places in the amateur grand prix, winning on Newton Nickel and taking third on Steady the Helm. Ten of the 44 starters reached the jump-off with Stacey racing ahead to fill the top spot on the Wolfgang 13-year-old Nickel with a little over half a sec to spare. She also jumped double clear on Steady The Helm to finish 1.45 sec in arrears of her own time.
