Shane Breen is in the money in Gijon

Ireland's Shane Breen jumped into fifth in the 1.45m speed and handiness on Hallowberry Cruz in Gijon, Spain. 

Forty-three contended this table C speed (four sec added for each rail down) with Shane posting a clear round on the Cruising/Clover Hill 11-year-old to finish 3.57 sec behind the winner, France’s Nicolas Delmotte on Darmani Van T Heike. 

British-based Aussie Rowan Willis added four sec to his time to take eighth on the Arko nine-year-old Shark and Jess Mendoza finished 12th on Horst Van De Mispelaere.  Also jumping steady clears was Louise Saywell (Lady Lou) and Nigel Coupe (Dragon) for 15th and 17th and Ireland’s Anthony Condon in 20th with Zira VH Kapelhof Z. 


Ben Maher clinched fifth in the 5* 1.5m two-phase with Winning Good in Gijon, Spain, the Winningmood eight-year-old finishing just over two sec behind the winner, Belgium’s Francois Mathy Jr Casanova De l’Herse.   .

Rowan claimed ninth in the six and seven-year-old 1.30/1.35m with an easy clear on Wellington Grandorie, a six-year-old owned jointly with Lady Mornington (nee Jemma Kidd). Louise Saywell was also clear on the Luidam seven-year-old Hashtag for 13th.
