Nicola Foad commandingly claimed the top spot of the Horseware bronze qualifier at Bicton Arena with Potsdam Junior.
An initial 48 chased the three qualifying places on offer for the bronze league semi-finals in August, but just seven survived the first two rounds to access the final jump-off. And Nicola – winner of the 1m derby earlier in the week – posted the only treble clear to claim the top spot on the Potsdam sired 17-year-old Potsdam Junior – not only providing a clean sheet, but underscoring her win with 10 sec to spare.
Kelly White jumped into second spot on the 13-year-old Zidane LW and Lois Robinson claimed the third qualifying place on the 11-year-old mare Belhana.
Nicola scored a hat-trick over the weekend, taking a third win in the 1m with the 13-year-old Millwood Raffiki.
Matthew Hall secured the win in the silver league qualifier with Fitz The Bill, outpacing all 42 of his rivals. Ten reached the jump-off with Matthew and Fitz The Bill, an Argentinus/Silvio I 10-year-old he has competed since September, taking a three sec victory.
Joe Veitch guided the Heartbreaker 10-year-old Art Candy into second with Kaylie Perring jumping a steady round to finish on just one time fault for the third qualifying place on the Vermont/Concorde nine-year-old Dorus Brabant Lease.
NB: Qualifications will be updated pending official grading of results.
