An on-form Chloe Reynolds claimed two of the top three places in the Nupafeed Supplements discovery second round at Chard Equestrian with Conchello Gold and Kara.
Fifty-seven initially started with the intentions of qualifying for the National Championships final, with 24 surviving the first two rounds to access the third and final jump-off.
But Chloe took charge on the six-year-old Conchello Gold, a Chello III VDL/Sydney mare she has produced for the past 15 months, to claim victory by a handsome 4.27 sec. And the Bridgewater, Somerset rider took a second qualifying ticket on Sally Waters’ Kara, a 12-year-old gelding she has competed for just three months.
Claire Daniels sandwiched the Belgian-bred eight-year-old El Paso RK into second.
A total of 11 provided treble clears to book their place in the final at Stoneleigh in August with Alice Bennett and Faroon in fourth, Laura Bennett finished fifth on Big Bang, Katherine Wright jumped into sixth place on Adelaide II and Rebecca Mason took seventh and 11th aboard Vancurtis and Pure Pleasure II. Also Stoneleigh bound is eighth-placed Anna Austin on Larigo II, Helen Mitchell in ninth on Castleview Murphy and Taylor Greenwood riding Katrina in 10th spot.
NB: Qualifications will be updated pending official grading of results
