June 22, 2017

Jemma Kirk posted a great double clear in the 1.45m grand prix on Carbani in Moorsele, Belgium, to finish seventh with Carbani.

Eleven of the 59 posted round one clears to access the jump-off, Justin Tuff on Idocus VD Bisschop and Kimberly White with Catapult most unlucky not to join them after returning on just one time fault apiece.  They finished 12th and 13th respectively.  Jemma was stepping Carbani to this level and produced another sensible clear on the Carolus II 11-year-old to slot into seventh place four sec behind the winner, Belgium’s Benny Naessens on Just In Time.

“It was his first grand prix, I am so happy with the result,” said Jemma.

Jemma jumped to the top in the 2* 1.35m accumulator, scoring maximum points on Tchoupi Pironniere and galloped through the finish to take the 48-strong class by 0.87 sec.

Justin Tuff jumped into third in the 1.25m accumulator with Vennie Burga Z, their steady round finishing almost 12 sec behind the winner. Clare Reynolds claimed seventh on Footloose VH Hazelarenhoekje and British-based Frenchman Dan Delsart slotted Drumin Jacko into eighth.

Carla Jane Rolfe galloped to a 1.15m speed win on Flemins Bouncer, claiming a commanding seven sec victory. Charlotte Swanston was also clear for fourth on Fair Lady and Victoria Wearing finished 15th with Chicago Blue.
