Louise Whitaker slotted Team Harmony’s Kannan daughter Cleopatra into second in the gold 1.40m speed final on the final day of the Baltica Spring tour in Poland. The pair finished 1.67 sec behind the pace. Emily Ward posted a steadier clear for ninth on Lexie III.
Jamie Gornall was best Brit in the 1.50m grand prix, just one time fault marring their otherwise foot-perfect round in the first round. Only six posted initial clears and they were joined in round two by those on one time fault – nine in total to make a 15-strong jump-off.
Three riders jumped double clear to fill the top three places, Estonia’s Rein Pill on A Brok taking the win. Jamie was clear in the jump-off for seventh on Carsten. A time fault in round and four faults in round two put Louise Whitaker on Ruby VIII in 11th spot.
Clear and four dropped Ben Raistrick and Jinja Von Der Weretherbach down to 12th in the 19-strong jump-off of the silver 1.25m final. Gemma Wright claimed 16th on Ulrike Van Overis and Charlotte Meikle took 19th on Virginia 188.
Madeleine Kellett headed the silver 1.05m final with Zwalbe with the only clear, but underscored the win with the fastest time.
