Julie Andrews hits winning form in Denmark

Julie Andrews got Uggerhalne, Denmark off to a flying start with a win on Wilando B. The Oklund/Topas 14-year-old answered every call to gallop ahead in the 1.40m speed to win with 2.91 sec in hand. Jamie Wingrove guided the Vigaro eight-year-old Ezivona to a steadier clear for 16th.

And the Brits jumped super clears in the 1.50m two-phase in a run before the 3* Nations Cup on Saturday, Julie again showing form with third place on Ayrton, the Cantos/Burggraaf 12-year-old just half sec behind the winner. William Funnell guided the Tangelo 14-year-old Billy Angelo into fifth with Jamie Wingrove and Helen Rees’ 11-year-old Bart VI in ninth. Keith Shore was also double clear for 14th on the Tornado 14-year-old Mystic Hurricane.

Louise Saywell jumped into second in the young horse 1.30/1.40m speed with the seven-year-old Moneybroom Dancer (Je T’Aime Flamenco/Ekstein), finishing almost two sec behind the pace. Julie Andrews posted a much steadier round on Billy Cointreau to finish down the line.

Keith Shore slotted Coriander Van’t Vennehof into third in the 1.30m two-phase, 0.80 sec behind the winner.
