Emily Ward is in the money in Poland

Emily Ward posted a double clear in the big class of the day on the Baltica Spring tour in Poland, to finish fifth on Doobally.

Ninety-two initially contended the 1.40m, with 20 battling for supremacy in a hot jump-off, but Emily kept a cool head to jump into fifth on the Cornet Obolensky 13-year-old, finishing 0.73 sec behind the winner. Louise Whitaker returned a steadier double clear on Cero/Kannan nine-year-old Udget Du Rozel for ninth. Graham Gillespie was clear in round one on London AJM but their steady round didn’t make the jump-off and they took 23rd.

Louise slotted the Kannan daughter Cleopatra into second in the gold 1.30m table C speed, the Kannan mare finishing 2.69 sec behind the winner. Graham Gillespie was right behind for third on the 13-year-old mare Laverin De Saar.

Madeleine Kellett headed the silver 1m with a 0.23 sec advantage on Zwalbe. Madeleine also picked up seventh in the silver 1.15m final with Ella VI, jumping double clear and finishing five sec behind the winner. Clear and four dropped Romilly Simmons and Ferani Paukowna from a possible second down to 16th. Romilly also claimed sixth in the silver 1.20m speed on Rukkato more than five sec behind the pace with Gemma Wright in 10th riding On Board Candy.
