James Smith takes a close second in Reims

James Smith was just 0.19 sec away from winning the 3* 1.40m in Reims, France.  Forty-nine contended this speed class, with James and the 12-year-old Bolton Gate Ben taking the runner-up position by just a fraction of a second.  Laura Renwick with the Heartbreaker nine-year-old Dominant H slotted into fifth and Guy Williams claimed ninth on the eight-year-old Mr Blue Sky UK (Chacco Blue/Cento). 

Laura eased Shiraz II into second in the 3* 1.35m speed, 1.21 sec behind the pace.  Dan Neilson jumped for one time fault and seventh with Major Delacour and Steven Franks claimed ninth with four faults on Amethyst. 

Jessica Graham jumped into third in the 1* 1.20m speed on the nine-year-old Chicas Flight (OBOS Quality/Errigal Flight), just over two sec behind the winner. Nancy Pinchen finished fifth on Zodiac Z and Olivia Howe picked up sixth and seventh on Corsiro Z and Wantos. Theo Simpson also posted a clear on Flinstering for 10th. 

Charlotte Graham slotted the Berlin/Darco 12-year-old into Frisbee into fifth in the 1* 1.30m two-phase with a double clear, five sec behind the winner. Jessica Graham finished 10th on HHS Faldo.
