Laura Renwick takes a win in Reims


Laura Renwick hit form in Reims, winning the top-billed 1.50m in Reims 3*, France, with MHS Washington.The OBOS Quality/Cavalier Royale nine-year-old answered every call in a hot 16-strong jump-off to win by 0.19 sec.

Robert Smith guided the Balou Du Rouet 12-year-old Bavi into seventh with Yazmin Pinchen right behind in eighth on the 13-year-old stallion Van De Vivaldi. James Smith jumped for clear and four on Balibu for 15th and Steven Franks posted the fastest four in round one on Carlow Cruiser for 17th.

Steven claimed seventh with the Billy Congo 11-year-old Brutus III in the 3* 1.40m more than five sec in arrears of the winning time. Yazmin was a little slower for ninth on the Tornado 15-year-old Ashkari.

Stacey Willsone eased the 13-year-old Newton Nickel (Wolfgang/Indoctro) into fourth in the 1* 1.30m speed, eight sec behind the winner. Jessica Graham finished seventh on HHS Faldo.

Charlotte Graham picked up fourth in the 1.20m two-phase on the Berlin/Darco 12-year-old Frisbee more than three sec behind the pace. Olivia Howe was also double clear for 11th on on Corsiro Z with Nancy Pinchen hot on her heels for 12th with Zodiac Z in the 72-strong class.
