Louise Saywell galloped to the top in the 3* 1.40m speed in Eindhoven, Netherlands, with the ultra-consistent Peiter VI. The Acorado/Landor S 14-year-old owned by James Hughes has been a great winner for Louise and he didn’t fail here. The pair raced ahead to win with four and half sec to spare.
Jessica Mendoza jumped a steadier round for ninth on the 10-year-old Indoctro mare Constance and four faults dropped San Hutton on Bimbo De La Ferme St-Martin to 19th.
Jessica claimed victory in the 3* 1.35m two-phase with Wan Architect, winning with 0.71 sec to spare. Louise Saywell also posted a double clear for 17th on the Luidam eight-year-old Pewit Nono – winner of Allington’s 2* grand prix just a week earlier. Also jumping very steady double clears but finishing down the line was James Davenport on Tiger and William Funnell with Billy Fanta.
William provided the steadiest of the double clears in the 1.50m on the promising nine-year-old Billy Buckingham (Billy Congo/Clover Hill) for seventh, more than five sec behind the winner, Belgium’s Karel Cox and Flinstone Van’t Eigenlo. Sam Hutton jumped for clear and four in the 13-strong jump-off for 10th on Happydam.
And William returned the steadiest of the double clears in the youngster tour 6-year-old 1.30/seven-year-old 1.35m handicap on the seven-year-old Billy Amber (Billy Congo/Abdullah) for eighth.
Ashlee Harrison eased into sixth spot in the 1* 1.35m speed with the 10-year-old mare Toupie Du Quesnoy, 3.22 sec behind the winner. Ashlee also picked up 13 th with second ride, the Kashmir Van Schuttershof daughter Zahra II.
