British-based Irishman Roger McCrea topped the platinum tour 1.40m speed at Magna Racino in Austria. He found every short cut to win by the narrow margin of 0.17 sec in the hotly contended class on the 10-year-old Sweet Cinnamon (Laptop/Ircio Mena).
Fellow Irishman Shane O’Reilly topped the six-year-old final with 1.32 sec in hand on the Mozart Des Hayettes gelding Belga Du Thot. A steadier round from Roger with the Diarado stallion Di Caprio took seventh. Shane also picked up 13th with one time fault aboard Birdy Du Thot.
Roger eased the Diamant De Semilly stallion Oakingham Titan into third in the five-year-old final five sec behind the winner. Shane slotted the Elvis Ter Putte-sired Milando into eighth on one time fault.
Roger also netted fifth in the seven-year-old final on the Diamant De Semilly stallion Davinci VD Bosrand.
Lucinda Roche picked up sixth in the gold 1.35m speed with the eight-year-old Crazyhorse of Coco mare Izar B, finishing almost five sec behind the winner.
