Emma-Jo Slater secures British novice final qualification on Kings of Leon

Just a week after topping the discovery second round at Codham Park, Emma-Jo Slater guided Kings of Leon into the top spot of the KBIS British novice second round at Parwood Equestrian Centre.

Eighty-four competitors initially contended with this eventually whittled down to 19 agains the clock, with Emma-Jo’s formidable partnership on Kim Barzilay’s Argento-sired eight-year-old Kings of Leon again coming to the fore, winning by a huge margin of 4.62 sec.

Cassie Ann Chapman rode into second place on the six-year-old mare Chicago VII with Charlotte Edwards in third the seven-year-old mare Little Pocket Rocket II.

A total of seven achieved treble clears to qualify for the National championships final at Stoneleigh in August.
