Chloe Aston concludes Lummen with a win
Chloe Aston rounded off the week at Lummen with a win, her consistent Padinus 12-year-old Amigo T coming to the fore in the 3* 1.40m. Fifty-four tackled the initial track, but the pair headed the eight-strong jump-off with half a sec to spare. Four in round one dropped Peter Maloney (Babilonia) and Emma Stoker (Townhead Ballulah) to 12th and 15th.
Chloe also picked up second in the 1.35m on the Lord Z/Parco eight-year-old Lorelei Van Het Waterschoot Z, 1.83 sec behind the winner. Peter was fourth aboard Calimero Van’t Roth and Emma claimed ninth on Pembroke 3.
Four faults in the jump-off of the 3* 1.50m grand prix pushed Peter and D’Atlantique Royale down to sixth place. Only seven of the 59 starters reached the jump-off, won by Spain’s Julio Arias on Barnaby.
