Peter Maloney is in the money in Lummen

British-based Irishman Peter Maloney, riding for Team Harmony, jumped into third in the 3* big tour 1.45m grand prix qualifier on D’Atlantique Royale in Lummen, Belgium. The Udarco/Kannan 14-year-old finished 1.48 sec behind the winner, Belgium’s Gilles Dunon on Fou de la Toi Keihoeve. Emma Stoker and the 12-year-old Cartoon stallion Townhead Campus jumped a steadier clear in this 55-strong speed for 10th.

Peter also picked up sixth in the big tour 1.40m with Babilonia, guiding the Carano/Caretino 12-year-old mare to finish 2.66 sec behind the winner in the 10-horse decider. Emma was also double clear for ninth on the Cartani eight-year-old Townhead Ballulah.

Emma also claimed seventh in the small tour 1.30m 21-strong jump-off on the Arko IIIDarco seven-year-old Everton de Villee, more than seven sec behind the pace. Emma also took 11th on the seven-year-old Pembroke.

Four faults in the 27-horse 1.35m jump-off dropped Peter and Venoot down to 13th.
