Emma Stoker takes a top win in Lummen
Emma Stoker hit the top in Lummen with a 3* win on Townhead Tallulah, taking the big tour 1.45m in fine style.
Eighteen of the 47 starters posted initial clears but only could go clear again. And Emma on Bob Young’s Tabasco la Silla/Calvados 12-year-old found the shortest route to win by 0.30 sec. Richard Howley posted the quickest time of the class, but four faults dropped Chinook to fourth and James Davenport finished 10th on One Endeavour.
Brits filled the top three places in the five-year-old 1.10m, Pippa Goddard on Hot Bluebird (Plot Blue/Heartbreaker) winning with almost a second in hand over India Payne on Pina Colada Z (Plot Blue/Diamant de Semilly). Darren Smith slotted the Darco stallion Darco Tonto UK Z. Rachel Sutton took fifth on Hongkong VDO with Emily Elliott in seventh on Zaza Z and Alice Palmer was eighth on Murphy Hof Ter Zeedycke. Emma Stoker eased Grand Stakkato into ninth with Pippa on second ride Margaret Dwerse Hagen and Derek McCoppin took 12th on Two Smoking Barrels UK in the 12-strong jump-off.
A steady double clear on the Cadensky mare Cool Cash gave Emma Stoker ninth spot in the six-year-old 13-strong jump-off.
Only two provided round one clears to go head-to-head in the 1* 1.30m grand prix, Belgium’s Nico Baerts on Hero van Heiste getting the better of fellow countryman Isidoor van Rompaey on Jack Daniels. Four faults in round one put India Payne on Nijntje Z in fourth.
One time fault in the 1* 1.20m speed dropped Cindy Jayne and the seven-year-old Crack Boom Shake the Room UK to 10th.
