Billy Twomey hits form in Antwerp

British-based Irishman Billy Twomey posted a win in Antwerp’s 5* 1.45m, the speedy Ardcolum Duke (Gypsy Duke/Clover Hill) stepping up to the plate. The pair claimed the win in the 28-strong table C speed by 1.78 sec.

Michael Whitaker slotted the Cheers Cassini 12-year-old JB’s Hot Property into third almost two sec in arrears with Robert Smith in sixth on Cimano E. Four faults dropped John Whitaker and Crumley downto 16th.

Four faults in the 2* 1.35m speed dropped Skye Higgin on Quarina de Blondel and Jack Whitaker’s Stakkato de Fee down to 20th and 21st. Canada’s Kara Chad took the win on Carona.

Steady clears in the 1* 1.30m speed earned Nina Barbour ninth and 13th with Calle and Douglas Delight. Tamarin Christie claimed fourth in the 1.15m with Essentiel van T&L, 1.45 sec behind the pace.
