Helen Tredwell and Chloe Aston are in form on Opglabbeek

Helen Tredwell jumped to the top in the 2* 1.35m speed section one on Balouetta at Sentower Park, Opglabbeek, Belgium. The Balou du Rouet/Concorde 10-year-old claimed the win by a handsome 2.32 sec. Amy Inglis claimed third on the Major de la Cour 11-year-old Amadeouse de Hurtebise just behind Ireland’s Harry Marshall on Claudio. Aimee Jones took seventh with Ultravox II and Ireland’s Trevor Breen eased the talented Vingino eight-year-old Escapade H into ninth. Jane Davies and Egalini returned withone time fault for 13th.

And Chloe Aston with the ultra-consistent Amigo T recorded another win, taking the 1.35m section two speed with 2.89 sec in hand. Aimee Jones slotted Lilly 483 into fifth more than five sec behind the pace. John Crippen (Call Me Cash Lassergut) and Emma Shingles (Mirdads Hawa) both returned on four faults to drop to 17th and 18th.

Georgie Crumley and the 11-year-old Renkum Centre Star (Renkum Off-Centre/Quick Star) stepped up and tackled the world ranking 1.45m and produced the steadiest of the double clears for 12th. British-based Irishman Paul Kennedy posted clear and four with EIS Isaura to take 16th.

But Georgie landed a win in the 1.30m on the 14-year-old Killagriff Ohio Lou (ARD Ohio/Golden Cliff), winning the seven-horse decider by 0.99 sec. Trevor Breen posted a steadier round on Enterprise for fifth.

And Abbey Winterburn claimed sixth on the nine-year-old KEC Serenade in the 1.10m speed, finishing some six sec behind the winner. Orla Morrin was also clear to guide Calme into 10th.
