Jonathan Dixon takes a win in Kronenberg
Jonathan Dixon outpaced all 76 rivals in the 1.35m speed in de Peelbergen, Kronenberg. He rode the Canturo/Darco 11-year-old Gantico to victory by 1.92 sec, relegating the Netherlands’ Niels Knape to and Dustin to second.
British-based Irishman Paul Kennedy eased EIS Isaura into 12 th and Mark Bunting was also clear on Eurohills Calcary.
Just 0.59 sec kept Annabel Shields from the top spot in the 1.30m two-phase on the Cassini II/Casall eight-year-old My Casall, and they slotted into second behind Denmark’s Soren Pedersen on Vidtskue’s Jenni Star. Jonathan brought Camona, a Vleut/Animo 12-year-old, into third and also picked up eighth with Zaligra H.
Alex Barr jumped into fourth on Darco Diva in the 1.20m, just over two sec in arrears of the winning time in the 18-horse jump-off. One time fault in round one dropped Alex and second ride Falco to 22nd.
