Hitting the heights! Annabel Shields takes a hat-trick in de Peelbergen

Annabel Shields hit the ground running at De Peelbergen, Kronenberg, Holland, with a hat-trick of victories.

Annabel jumped straight to the top on Wet Wet Wet, guiding the Mr Blue/Royal Feu 14-year-old into 0.53 sec win in the 2* 1.40m against 75 rivals. Alex Barr and Bettilina jumped a steadier clear for 10th and Julie Andrews gave Ayrton IV a r first day un to post a clear for 18th. Scott Brash and Hello Senator proved foor-perfect but picked up one time fault in a nice, easy first trip for the Carambole/Indoctro eight-year-old.

Carnoneybridge Challenger was also a winner for Annabel. The Hermes de Reve/Burggraaf nine-year-old sped round the 1.40m speed to outpace their 76 rivals to take a 1.53 sec victory. Scott Brash jumped another easy round to bring Hello Mr President home on a clean sheet for 19th and Julie Andrews picked up just one time faults with Havanna de Cavron.

Annabel also topped the 1.20m on the eight-year-old Argento daughter Argenta. They claimed a 0.36 sec advantage over fellow Brit Alex Barr on the Unbelievable Darco eight-year-old Darco Diva. Julie pushed Shankley into fourth.

Alex also picked up fifth in the 1.25m aboard the seven-year-old mare Ferrara Durona (Balou du Rouet/Chin Chin). Nick Benterman was also double clear for 17th on the Chacco Blue seven-year-old Chaccarino.
