Joe Whitaker takes another win in Vilamoura

Joe Whitaker claimed another win in the six-year-old on Black Pearl Leone on the Vilamour Atlantic tour. Twenty-nine contended this speed class with Joe claiming the win on the l’Arc de Triomphe/Helios de la Cour II stallion by a considerable margin, 5.14 sec.

Emma Stoker rode into second on the Cadensky/Dollar dela Pierre mare Cool Cash with British-based Irishman Anthony Condon on Cushlas Reviro taking third. Emma also picked up fifth on Quatinka (Quiad/Perigueux) and Laura Johnson took seventh with Off the Record (Luidam/Courage II).

Chloe Aston topped the five-year-old on the consistent stallion Magic Chanti, winning this speed class by an impressive 5.80 sec. Four faults dropped Jackson Reed-Stephenson on Revelation (Revival/Esteban) down to 10th and Chloe picked up 11th on another stallion, Merci de Geliveaux.

And the Brits almost made it three! Brits filled three of the top four places in the seven-year-old, but no-one could catch Ireland’s Cameron Hanley on Arany de Kergane, and he galloped ahead to win by 2.63 sec.

Emma Stoker claimed second and third on the Arko III/Darco stallion Everton de Villee and Pembroke 3 (Perigueux/Quick Star) and Stuart Neads filled fourth on Freya (Baltic VDL/Numero Uno).
