Sammie-Jo Coffin is on form in Mijas
Sammie-Jo Coffin guided Willem de Lux into second in the Master 1.35m, the Lupicor 13-year-old finishing two sec behind the winner, Spain’s Laura Roquet Puignero on Dynamite Z on the Costa del Sol tour in Mijas.
Harry Charles slotted Ernestine F (Tangelo/Kojak) into third with Anna Power in sixth on Chesterfield Z and Willam Funnell’s Billy Angelo in seventh. Picking up one time fault was Chris Franks aboard Monks Grand Prix and Anna with second ride Crack van Overis Z, and on fast fours was Chris aboard Mega Times and Sammie-Jo on Simply Splendid.
Brits filled the top two places in the Master 1.30m, Sammie-Jo on the Lupicor nine-year-old Devils Kiss gaining a handsome 4.17 sec advantage over Alex Gill and the Billy Congo/Capitol II eight-year-old Billy Fraulein. Max Routledge took sixth on Centos Girl with Henry Truelove finishing in seventh on Evaterma and Lara Whiteway posting clear and a fast four on Bellagio II to drop from a possible second to eighth.
Sammie-Jo was also second in the 1.20m table C speed on Churchill Z, the Felton du Mont seven-year-old finishing 3.64 sec behind the winning time. Robert Smith jumped into fourth on Martesse with Olivia Howe in ninth and 13th on Wantos and Corsiro Z and Rachel Williams took 14th aboard Figaro.
Four faults in the 1.40m gold speed put Helena Cassir into sixth on Curley Sue. Alex Gill was best Brit in the Premium 1.40m with eighth place aboard Dienna (Vaillant/Numero Uno) with Steven Franks on the Quicksilber eight-year-old Amethyst in 10 th, both returning four faults.
Holly Truelove slotted into fourth in the Premium 1.30m with Golly Girl, 3.19 sec behind the winner. Robert Smith posted clear and four on Times Up for sixth with Helena Casir on Grando 234 in seventh, Lauren Edwards eighth aboard Carnaval Cocktail, Honor Draycott with Lux de Lux in ninth and Olivia Howe 10th riding Black Label – all on clear and four.
