Louise Saywell jumps into the money in Cagnes-sur-Mer

Louise Saywell continued on her successful run to pick up second in the 1.45m at Cagnes-sur-Mer, France.

Forty-four contended this speed class with Louise and the big-striding, scopey Dassler Douglas/Cassini II) striding into second place to finish 1.15 sec sec behind the winner, France’s Max Thirouin on Utopie Villelongue. Shane Breen guided Ipswich van de Wolfsakker just behind for third and Nigel Coupe took sixth on Golvers Hill.

Shane posted victory with new ride Fabrice van Overis in the 1.35m. The stylish Irishman guided Brendon Stud’s For Pleasure/Diamant de Semilly stallion into a 0.28 sec win in the two-phase class. Greg Taylor claimed fifth on Esunja (Warrant/Zeus) and Georgia Tame was also double clear on Clyde VA for 10th.

Shane jumped a steady clear in the 1.30m speed to ease Danique into 16th. Louise also returned an easy penalty-free round on Luigi to finish down the order with the steadiest of the clears.

Nigel Coupe eased the Wokentaz II daughter Jubilee III into sixth in the 1.40m, 5.46 sec behind the pace.
