Julie Andrews tops the world ranking class in Italy

Julie Andrews is enjoying a terrific show in Gorla Minore 2*, Italy. Capitalising on her win just 24 hours earlier with Eva Bjorkman and Emelie Marsh’s consistent Ayrton IV, Julie landed the top-billed world ranking 1.45m on the Cantos/Burggraaf 12-year-old.

Fifty initially jumped in this two-phase competition, with 23 providing clears in the first half and 15 posting double clears, Julie taking victory by 0.18 sec.

And Julie also clinched third place in the 1.40m on Wilando B, an Oklund 14-year-old who has been jumping successfully with her daughter Molly.

“I haven’t jumped a fence on him since Liverpool [in the New Year], thank you Molly for ‘lending’ him to me,” said Julie, who was alo placed ninth with a clear in the seven-year-old on Billy Cointreau.
