Lance Whitehouse is in the money on the Spanish sunshine tour

Lance Whitehouse jumped into second in the seven-year-old section A on Bazento, the Argento/Quincy Z stallion finishing 1.31 sec ahead of any rival. Kayleigh Watts took fifth on Colton Playtime – by Dokkum de Rialfo and out of the multi European gold medallist mare Colton Maelstron – with Joe Whitaker’s La Mona taking seventh. Antonio Marinas Soto took 10th on Faya Sao Miguel with Chloe Winchester in 13th on Firefly W and Joe aboard second ride Billyjean claimed 14th. Also double clear was Jake Saywell (Darco Native) and Kayleigh Watts (Kilbarron Rue).

Douglas Duffin and Moonface JX (Calrius/Couleur Rubin) finished 0.89 sec behind the winner for seventh in the seven-year-old B section. Chris Moorhouse guided Castle Rock into 13th with Graham Gillespie on Fortuna ES in 16th, Lloyd Thomas in 17th on Revel and Conor Moore and Shine taking 19th. Also jumping double clears was Danielle Farnsworth (Firestone II), Beth Vernon (Hashtag), Graham Gillespie (Calvaros Up to Date), Sally Hopkinson (Fadograaf) and David Wingrove (Freestyler).

A total of 94 six-year-olds jumped clear to share equal first and 51 five-year-old were penalty-free to finish equally in the top spot.
